HopeLink relies on the support of our community to provide critical behavioral health, crisis and suicide intervention services. Your support of HopeLink today ensures a hopeful future for the individuals and families we serve. Thank you for your consideration of making a planned gift to support HopeLink’s life-changing work!
Ways to Contribute:
1. Name HopeLink Behavioral Health as the beneficiary in any of these accounts:
- Life insurance policies
- Annuities
- Checking, savings or other financial accounts
- Individual retirement accounts (IRA, 401k, 403b)
2. IRA Charitable Distribution: Make a gift to HopeLink Behavioral Health with a distribution from your Individual Retirement Account (IRA) and take advantage of potential tax savings.
a. RMD (Required Minimum Distribution)
b. QCD-qualified charitable distribution, making the donation out of IRA
3. Bequests in a Will
4. Beneficiary of a Trust (including a Revocable Living Trust)
5. Charitable Remainder Trust: A charitable remainder trust is an irrevocable trust. The assets are invested to provide income for the donor (or their named beneficiary) for life, or an agreed upon term. At the end of the trust term, the remaining assets in the trust are distributed to the charity. There are two types, a Charitable Remainder Annuity Trust (CRAT), which has a fixed income stream, and a Charitable Remainder Unitrust (CRUT), which has a variable income stream. The donor generally gets an immediate charitable deduction equal to the present value of the amount expected to go to the charity, not the amount of the contribution.
6. Charitable Lead Trust: A Charitable Lead Trust (CLT) is also an irrevocable trust. The trustee makes payments to the charity for a set number of years. At the termination of that set period, the trust assets are transferred to the donor’s named beneficiaries. Deductions differ, depending if the trust is a Grantor or Non-Grantor trust.
Legacy gifts made to HopeLink can be designated as unrestricted or restricted funds to support our behavioral health, crisis and suicide intervention services.
