The new program will offer expanded hours, a new structure, and more progress opportunities.
What's Different
- The last day that HopeLink Alexandria, also known as Stepping Stones (8794 Sacramento Drive, Alexandria), will
be open is Friday, August 28, 2026. - HopeLink Fairfax, also known as the Recovery Academy, will continue to operate at its current location (3026
Javier Road, Fairfax), under a new name and structure as of September 1, 2026. - The new program – Hope House – will adopt the structure and operations of the Clubhouse
model of psychosocial rehabilitation. Read more about Clubhouse at https://clubhouse-intl.org. - The program will be open Monday through Friday, from 8:30 am – 3:30 pm (7 hours per day).
- Members can spend between 2-7 hours per day at the program.
- Members will choose how often they attend the program and the activities they participate in based on their
individual treatment goals. Breakfast and lunch will be served! - Updates to program activities include expanded hands-on activities and side-by-side skill-teaching opportunities;
more opportunities for member leadership; and more member involvement in the governance of the program.
What's Staying the Same
- All participants currently enrolled at Stepping Stones and Recovery Academy are eligible and encouraged to
continue attending the new program. - Medical necessity and eligibility criteria for programming remain the same.
- There will be no changes to the process for making program referrals.
- All staff at Stepping Stones and Recovery Academy will continue on at the new program.
- No changes will be made to HopeLink’s intensive psychosocial day program, the Community Readiness & Support Program (CRSP).
