HopeLink Happenings

HopeLink is an active member of our local Virginia communities, and we host numerous events through the year to raise funds to meet the region’s ever-growing needs for behavioral health, crisis, and suicide intervention services.

HopeLink Behavioral Health announces that Joe Getch, Chief Executive Officer, has made the decision to retire in Spring 2027, with the transition expected to be complete no later than June 30, 2027. By the time of his retirement, Joe will have served HopeLink for 22 years, including seven years as CEO.

During Joe’s tenure as CEO, HopeLink has experienced significant growth and transformation. The organization has grown by nearly 225%, established itself as the largest 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline contact center in Virginia and one of the largest in the United States, launched and expanded a mental health outpatient program, created a Youth and Family division, and completed a major organizational rebrand from PRS, Inc. to HopeLink Behavioral Health.

Joe’s leadership has had a lasting impact on HopeLink and on the broader behavioral health community. We are grateful for his decades of service, his dedication to HopeLink’s mission, and his commitment to ensuring the organization is well positioned for continued success.
