Who We Are
HopeLink is a nonprofit providing behavioral health, crisis and suicide prevention services. We seek to change and save lives in our community by empowering hope, safety, recovery, wellness, independence, and community integration. We provide services to those in need, regardless of their ability to pay.
Are You a Fit?
HopeLink is looking for individuals with a commitment to our mission of inspiring hope and providing support for families experiencing crisis and behavioral health challenges. Through innovative services and a collaborative approach, we strengthen our community one life at a time. We are selective in our search, screening candidates for their passion for mental health services, as well as needed skillsets.
What Our Board Members Do
Board members are involved in policy, oversight, and work directly with the CEO.
HopeLink has 6 scheduled board meetings per year. In addition, our board members are required to serve on at least one committee, which generally meet once a quarter. Standing committees are Governance Committee, Finance Committee, Business Development Committee, Resource Development Committee, and Audit Committee. There are also ad hoc committees when need or opportunities arise. HopeLink also has two major fundraisers annually, a golf tournament in the spring, and the Imagine Hope Gala in the fall.
Board members also participate in fundraising activities and have a required “give or get” of $2,500/year.
How Our Board Accomplishes Its Mission
HopeLink utilizes the Policy Governance Model. HopeLink is “owned” by our community. The Board exists to represent and speak for the interest of the owners, or the community. HopeLink exists to meet its Global Ends.
Global Ends: HopeLink exists so that individuals and families living with behavioral health challenges and anyone who faces life crisis can achieve safety, personal wellness, recovery, and community integration. HopeLink will efficiently utilize public and private resources to achieve board ends.
The HopeLink Board is tasked with meeting its Board Ends:
- Recovery – Individuals make and implement informed decisions to overcome challenges, build strengths, participate in the community, improve and sustain overall wellness and remain safe.
- HopeLink’s existing and future services reflect the community need in alignment with the Global
The Policy Governance Model separates issues of organizational purpose (Ends) from all other organizational issues (means), placing primary importance on the Ends. The Board has access to key information about organizational performance without needing to get into the weeds of operations. The board/staff operate together based on a playbook. The Board and CEO’s roles are very clear.
