PRS, a behavioral health nonprofit serving Northern Virginia, has expanded and adapted to meet the region’s growing health needs during COVID-19, including a deeper partnership with Arlington County’s Behavioral Healthcare Division and its Job Avenue Program.

The interview covered the recent announcement by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) Chairman Ajit Pai that the FCC will consider establishing 9-8-8 as the national suicide prevention hotline at their meeting on December 12, 2019. Laura Mayer was interviewed to share the national importance of this legislation and how it will impact local call centers, like PRS CrisisLink.
After 22 years of service, Wendy Gradison will be retiring on June 30, 2020 as CEO of PRS, a local nonprofit that helps individuals living with serious mental health issues and facing life crises.
